The Jorge Jaber Clinic affiliated to the World Federation for Mental Health (WFMH) has been active for over 35 years in the Field of prevention and treatment of mental health disorders. We focus on four principal and connected areas:
1. Prevention – This is the first step in dealing with drugs. With this in mind, our clinic has developed a program of lectures delivered in schools, community associations and churches, as well as the Company Program, warning about the harm caused by the use of chemical substances and alcohol.
2. Treatment – We offer treatment for all types of psychological/psychiatric pathologies like depression, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, obesity, anorexia, bulimia, schizophrenia etc.) as well as chemical dependence (tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, solvents etc.).
3. Teaching – The Jorge Jaber Clinic runs a Psychotherapy/Chemical Dependency Counseling Training Course. We also hold a Continuing Education Program (PEC in Portuguese) aimed at developing professionals who are already working in the field and wish to improve their knowledge and skills in order to advance their performance and patient care.
4. Research – In The search for Constant improvement in the quality of its services, the Jorge Jaber Clinic carries out research in order to develop new and improved treatment methods. The results of such research are published and presented nationally and internationally.
